Dís – Natural Sheep Colors

Dís (the fairy) yarn is always made from lambswool. It is 2ply, fingering weight, and 100 grams gives 440 meters (481 yards) of yarn. Needle size 1,5 to 3,0 is recommended and the gauge for needle size 3,0 is 24 sts per 30 rounds for 10×10 cm.

We don’t bleach our fleeces to standardise colors in either our natural or our dyed yarns. Every batch of yarn is unique because every sheep fleece is unique.
